“Leeds United on the Verge of Snapping Up Josuha Guilavogui with Stunning Wage Offer!”

October 23, 2024

Leeds United are poised to finalize the signing of free agent midfielder Josuha Guilavogui this week, after he was seen attending two consecutive games at Elland Road. Manager Daniel Farke has openly expressed his desire to add a free agent to the squad, addressing the club’s ongoing midfield injury issues.

While the free agent market in late October is typically limited, Leeds seem to have found a suitable option in the 33-year-old Guilavogui, whose experience could prove invaluable as the club pushes for promotion.

French midfielder Josuha Guilavogui quickly surfaced as a top contender to reinforce Leeds United’s midfield when he was seen attending the club’s victory over Sheffield United. Though no official confirmation followed between the matches against the Blades and Watford, speculation grew stronger when the 34-year-old was spotted once again at Elland Road on Tuesday night, further hinting that Leeds have set their sights on him as the solution to their injury-hit midfield.

According to Capology, we have a good estimate of the wages Josuha Guilavogui might receive in his short-term deal at Leeds United. The Frenchman previously earned approximately £52,000 per week at Wolfsburg, where he was considered a fan favorite. However, after moving to Mainz for the 2023/24 season, his salary dropped to around £19,200 per week, a figure more in line with what Leeds would likely offer him in the Championship.

If Josuha Guilavogui receives a similar wage offer at Leeds, he would fall into the same salary bracket as players like Sam Byram, who earns £20,000 per week, and Largie Ramazani and Ao Tanaka, both on £17,500 per week. This would place him among the club’s mid-tier earners, aligning with the typical wages offered in the Championship.
