BREAKING NEWS: Wilfried Gnonto considers Leeds United future with another transfer now on cards

August 3, 2024

According to a report by Inter Live, Wilfried Gnonto is mulling over his future at Leeds United and a return to Italy could be on the horizon. Teams such as Parma, Venezia, and Genoa are reportedly interested in the 20-year-old forward, with talks potentially beginning for a loan-to-buy deal.

It seems that Gnonto is not keen on spending another season in the Championship after Leeds fell short of promotion to the Premier League last season. With Crysencio Summerville also on the way out, Leeds might be in need of attacking reinforcements.

While it may not be ideal for Leeds to let Gnonto go, especially given his contributions to the team’s success last season, it appears that the player himself may be looking for a change of scenery. If Gnonto does leave, Leeds will need to act quickly to secure a deal and avoid a repetitive situation.

The sale of Gnonto could provide funds for new signings, but losing both him and Summerville could prove to be a setback for the club. Leeds have been linked with Dutch player Sontje Hansen as a replacement for Summerville, but only time will tell if these rumored deals will materialize.
