However, the Clippers did not prioritize bringing him back, and Plumlee elected to join the Suns, who are also in contention for a championship.
The Suns will be severely limited in their chase of free agents because they do not have much cap money to work with. Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Devin Booker make more than $130 million this season, leaving virtually little money for the Suns to build a roster around them.The Suns are expected to spend approximately $525 million on player wages in 2025-26. They must make a long playoff run in the coming years and challenge for an NBA championship to justify their investment.
