Leicester City are keen on signing Matias Soule, who has reportedly ‘said yes’ to the move, but the East Midlanders have been informed by Juventus they need to increase their proposed offer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Reports surfaced yesterday that the Foxes are prepared to submit an offer worth an initial €25m (£21.5m), with an additional €5m (£4.3m) in potential bonuses.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sports Witness) indicates that Juventus will only entertain an offer in the region of €30m (£25.8m) upfront, excluding further bonuses.

Whether Leicester will meet the Italian club’s demands remains uncertain, but Soule is reportedly eager for the deal to happen. The winger scored 11 goals and registered three assists while on loan at Frosinone in Serie A last season and is widely regarded as an exciting young talent.

Leicester Looking to Sign Soule

After winning the Championship last season and securing promotion to the Premier League, Leicester’s stability was disrupted by Enzo Maresca’s departure to Chelsea.

Steve Cooper was appointed as Maresca’s successor and has begun implementing transfer plans ahead of the new season.

The English manager has reportedly identified Soule as a top target to bolster his attacking midfield and wide areas. The Argentine youngster arrived in Europe at 17, joining Juventus’ academy.

After a year in Serie C with Juventus’ reserve team, the 21-year-old made 19 first-team appearances before going on loan to Frosinone.

Despite Frosinone’s relegation from Serie A, Soule managed 11 league goals, equalling the tally of new Manchester United signing Joshua Zirkzee in the same division. The young star is now firmly on Leicester’s radar, and the club is said to be pursuing him seriously.

Soule has reportedly informed Leicester of his desire to join the Midlands club, and the Foxes are expected to act decisively to secure his signature.

While Cooper hopes for a compromise on the fee, Soule is a priority target, and the club may ultimately feel compelled to meet Juventus’ demands to secure such a promising talent.

If signed, Soule would join an attacking cohort at the King Power Stadium that includes Stephy Mavididi, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Jamie Vardy, Patson Daka, and Kelechi Iheanacho.
