Manchester United is aiming to sign Manuel Ugarte in order to bolster their midfield this summer. Reports, however, indicate that PSG turned down their offer because they thought it was too low for the Uruguayan player.Juventus and AC Milan, two Serie A teams, are also interested in Ugarte. Despite this, there appears to be momentum behind a move to Old Trafford, as the 23-year-old is reportedly willing to forgo playing in a major tournament in order to complete the transfer.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, PSG and Manchester United are not close to reaching an agreement over Ugarte. PSG has a number of potential buyers, but they won’t sell until they receive the ideal offer, which hasn’t been made yet. Although PSG is not in a rush to sell, Manchester United is still in talks and is aware that Ugarte is amenable to the move.
The English team was given more positive news in a recent report from Diario AS, which stated that Diego Simeone, the manager of Atlético Madrid, has not informed the team’s management that he has reached out to Ugarte to persuade him to play for Atlético.
