Denver will then play at least four more games by the end of the competition.Braun, a 6-foot-10, 235-pound forward, played a minor role as Hunter Dickinson’s backup at centre during his sixth-year senior season at KU, participating in all 34 games and averaging 7.4 minutes with 2.2 points and 1.6 rebounds. Many of Braun’s most memorable moments came when he finished off alley-oops from longtime friend and point guard Dajuan Harris Jr.; he also had double-digit scoring performances in the Jayhawks’ first two games of the season and later hit a key 3-pointer, only his third of the season, to help KU defeat Houston at Allen Fieldhouse on Feb. 3.

Braun, a Burlington native, had his best season in 2022-23, when he averaged 7.7 points and 5.8 rebounds in his second season as a starter at Santa Clara. Braun, who had previously met Gonzaga as a league adversary in the West Coast Conference and failed to win, was once again defeated when the Jayhawks lost to the Bulldogs in the NCAA Tournament in what turned out to be his collegiate career’s final game.
