Everton is reportedly looking to swoop in and disrupt Nottingham Forest’s pursuit of Paraguay star Ramon Sosa, as per TEAMtalk.

Forest has been actively negotiating with Sosa’s current club CA Talleres and considers him a crucial target for the upcoming transfer window. The club officials are determined to finalize the deal before the Premier League season kicks off, facing stiff competition for the player’s signature.

However, Everton is now emerging as a contender in the race and is intensifying their interest in the talented forward. Manager Sean Dyche has prioritized strengthening the team’s winger options before the transfer deadline on August 30th.

Following the departures of Arnaut Danjuma and Lewis Dobbin, Everton has been actively seeking wide players to bolster their squad. They have secured Jack Harrison on another loan deal from Leeds United and signed Jesper Lindstrom on loan from Napoli, along with recruiting Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille.

Despite showing interest in Wilfried Gnonto from Leeds, Everton is now shifting focus towards Sosa, who is eager to make a move to the Premier League. Sosa, known for his speed and versatility on the field, has been in impressive form for CA Talleres, registering 17 goals and 13 assists in 56 appearances.

In addition to their pursuit of Sosa, Everton is also making moves in the striker department. Reports suggest that they have made a bid for Tammy Abraham from AS Roma, but face competition from West Ham. However, Abraham is holding out for a potential offer from AC Milan to continue his career in Italy and compete in the Champions League.
