The 22-year-old maintained his spot in the starting lineup following the weekend’s 3-2 loss to Aston Villa at home, where he shone in the second half as Town rallied from a 2-0 deficit to draw even. However, that fine performance was marred when he let Lucas Digne go free at the back post to head home the winning goal in the dying seconds. Kabore, who was starting against the Eagles at right wingback, had a respectable game to begin as he attempted to put that mistake behind him behind him, defeating Tyrick Mitchell in the opening moments of Luton’s encouraging attack.
He made a little blot on his copybook by booking the England international for an unnecessary foul before the half-hour mark, but to his credit, he played well despite the caution and avoided problems for the remainder of the match.
