Following the Los Angeles Lakers’ defeat in Game 2 of their first-round NBA Playoffs series against the Denver Nuggets on Monday night, a furious LeBron James addressed the podium for his postgame news conference.
This season, James hasn’t held back when criticizing NBA referees. He cursed out the league over the replay center, venting his frustration once more.
To be honest, James stated, “I have no idea what’s going on in the replay center.” It’s evident that D-Lo is struck in the face while driving. We have a replay center, what the (expletive) do we have? It makes no sense. It is illogical. I find it bothersome.
James is alluding to a drive in the third quarter by Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell in which Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. seemed to strike him in the face. Porter was called for a foul, but Denver contested the decision, leading to its overturning.
After the game, Russell took to his account on X, which was formerly Twitter, to express his feelings regarding the call.
James and the Lakers will return to Los Angeles for Game 3 of the series, which begins at 10 p.m. ET on Thursday, behind 2-0.
